Bryan Leister created these oil paintings during the early part of his illustration career from 1985 to 1997. During that time, he did work for a broad range of clients, including covers for Time, The Atlantic Monthly, New Republic, Businessweek and book covers for many different publishers including the Newbury award winning book Catherine called Birdy. His work was featured in Kohler's As I see it advertising series and he has won both a Gold and Silver Medal from the Society of Illustrators in New York.

You can still see his painting for Celestial Seasonings Rasberry Zinger tea at local grocery stores. His work is in many private collections and he has lectured frequently on illustration technique and business issues.
